Creech Funeral Home Supports Charity Uniting Kids and Cops

Small business owners know that charity work serves as a crucial bridge between a company and its customers. A funeral home in Kentucky with a long history of community service, Creech is proud to announce its support for Trooper Island Camp, a unique organization that provides support and recreation for deserving local children.

A Worthy Cause

Bill-Police-Trooper-Island-Photo-05-14-15Developed by the Kentucky State Police, Trooper Island Camp offers a fun and valuable recreational experience for the state’s young people. The brainchild of State Police Director Colonel James E. Bassett, the camp also provides a positive setting in which police offers and children can interact. The hope is that the event will encourage young people to look forward to a better tomorrow.

Held on Dale Hollow Lake near the Cumberland and close to the Clinton County line, Trooper Island Camp allows kids to take part in a wide range of outdoor activities. After starting the day with the raising of the flag, campers can learn skills such as boating, fishing, swimming, and archery. Additionally, campers receive an education in accident and fire prevention, first aid, good citizenship, and conservation and enjoy games and campfires every night. Contributions by businesses such as Creech support all construction and camping expenses including meals.

Want to join Creech by making a tax-deductible contribution to Trooper Island? Visit Trooper Island Camp online to make a donation and a difference in the life of a local child. You can also get information about camp dates and download a scholarship form on the website. Currently, Trooper Island is open to deserving boys and girls between the ages of 10 to 12.
