At Creech, we are dedicated to serving the needs of our families before, during, and after the funeral service. As part of that commitment, we proudly participate in a number of community service activities. This month, the team at Creech is excited to join the millions of Americans who support the March of Dimes in its annual March for Babies.
The March of Dimes is an organization with a long and distinguished history. Established by FDR in an effort to fight polio, the March of Dimes eventually shifted its primary focus to the care of premature babies. Over the years, the group has raised an impressive $2.3 billion to fund research and treatment programs aimed at helping mothers give birth to healthy, full-term babies. In the event that an infant is born early or with a disability, the March of Dimes offers information, support, and comfort to the parents and family members. By researching the problems that threaten babies, the March hopes to develop methods and strategies aimed at prevention.
In an effort to support this great institution, Creech is assembling a group to participate in this year’s March of Dimes March for Babies. Creech’s client services manager, Sherri Brock, has volunteered to serve as team captain. The cause is especially dear to the Creech staff members because they have often been tasked with creating memorials for infants. All the participants will wear special Creech t-shirts as a way of showing the funeral home’s support for the cause.
