A Middlesboro fixture for more than 80 years, Creech Funeral Home truly believes its success is due to the community that has supported it for so long. As part of our continued effort to be good neighbors and citizens, Creech staff members took part in the local March of Dimes March for Babies this past month.
Led by client services manager Sherri Brock, the team included nine women from Creech Funeral Home. At the event, the group had the opportunity to learn more about the March of Dimes organization and its efforts to help babies worldwide. Along with funding research and treatment programs designed to help mothers give birth to healthy, full-term babies, the monies raised from the March help support family members of premature infants and those living with disabilities.
The 2015 March of Dimes March for Babies was held on Sunday, May 17, at Old Lincoln School Park. All of the staff members who participated in the 3-mile walk donned special Creech t-shirts to show the funeral home’s support. The hope is that, by taking part in this event, we can encourage others to do the same in the coming years. So far, the event has generated more than $6,000 for the cause.
As funeral home owners, we deal with deaths in KY—and sometimes even infant deaths—on a regular basis. For this reason, the March of Dimes’ walk for babies is a cause that’s especially near and dear to our hearts. If you’re interested in joining us in supporting this incredible charity, please don’t hesitate to make a donation online. Working as one, we can help ensure every baby has the chance to be born healthy.
